What to do

FLUSH WITH WATER
Pour cool running water over the area continuously for at least 20 minutes. Do not use a small amount and stop — keep flushing the entire time.

Pakistan's emergency response number. Say: 'Acid attack — send ambulance immediately.' Stay on the line.

GET TO HOSPITAL
Burns unit. Do not cover the wound with cloth — contact with fabric worsens the burn. Keep flushing until medical help arrives.
DO NOT apply: toothpaste · cream · milk · oil · baking soda — and do NOT cover with cloth
